Born in Paris in 1962, Odile Bernard Schröder ceased working as a professional photographer in 1995 and turned herself exclusively on her research.

Beyond her photographic work, the artist elaborates drawings on sensitive surfaces such as old photographic paper.

Working in the half-light of the camera obscura, paradoxically, it’s an experimentation on light and luminous interferences.

Using tools which she fabricates herself Odile Bernard Schröder tells us: « Here it is the movement which depends on the time and which becomes a straight line, once the gesture completed, the light or the absence of light activated by chemistries, makes the gesture continue independently.
Odile Bernard Schröder lives and works in Paris.
